EcoSMART Organic Insect Repellent Lotion Review

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to try out and review EcoSMART’s Bed Bug Killer for, and I was pleased with its results. Therefore, when presented with the chance to try out and review EcoSMART’s new Organic Insect Repellent Lotion, I was more than happy to give it a go. In fact, I decided to put it to the ultimate – at least to me – test: try it out during a visit to the lowcountry of Charleston, S.C., well-known for mosquitoes, ticks, gnats and other assorted pesky bugs. And, to push it to the limit, I tried it out not only on me, but also on my children, ages 5 and 2. Oh, and one more thing: It was during the heat and humidity of July.

When I first opened the Organic Insect Repellent Lotion, it seemed a bit oily, not surprising given it’s made from organic plant oils (and DEET-free!). However, after rubbing it together in my hands, that feeling went away. I think it was due to not shaking up the lotion before opening the package, so I recommend shaking it to mix before using. Once I started to apply the lotion, it was absorbed quickly. There also was a nice fragrance, which quickly faded. In fact, after a few minutes, it was easy to forget I had applied the lotion at all.

Whether I remembered or not, EcoSMART’s Organic Insect Repellent Lotion worked as promised. Neither I nor my children received any bug bites while using it. In addition, my children did not have any adverse reactions to the lotion: no rash, no itching, nothing, which is a great thing for their young, sensitive skin. All in all, EcoSMART’s Organic Insect Repellent Lotion delivered as advertised, and I would be happy to use it again.
